Technician A (I.C.) 1st Shift (Monday through Friday Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm)
Candidate will work in the class 10 clean room of the Microelectronics Laboratory supporting a broad range of activities in the Advanced Technology Division manufacturing deep submicron devices, charge-coupled devices, and micro mechanical structures. Primary responsibility will be to monitor, prioritize, and process all work in progress within a specific process area and to provide clear and accurate inter-shift pass-down of such work. The goal of this position is to produce completed wafers with excellent quality and low cycle time. Additional responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: Perform SPC tasks and monitor and respond appropriately to data, interface with Program Originators on research projects and support the development of new processes and/or routine maintenance as required.
An individual who assists in laboratory, research, or analytical work under direction or supervision of scientific personnel. Operates highly technical experimental apparatus. Has demonstrated considerable skill and good
performance in the particular field of activity. Requires some supervision.
Graduation from a two year day technical school or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of applicable experience are required.
Experience:
* Candidate must have at least two years of experience operating semiconductor processing equipment in a silicon semiconductor fabrication facility.
* Previous experience in wet and dry etch processing is preferred.
* Knowledge of various semiconductor related metrology tools would be beneficial.
Skills:
* Candidate should be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Able to follow process instructions accurately and consistently, with minimal supervision.
* This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment advancing the state of the art and creating highly innovative electronic devices.
* The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a solid work ethic.
* Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills
* The candidate will document tool operation via SOP's.
* Reliable (Solid attendance)
* Operate a variety of semiconductor processing equipment.
* Understand equipment operation and be able to identify potential problems with the equipment through observation and to escalate resolution to the next level.
* Work with process engineering to learn newly installed tools and processes
