MQ Engineering Senior Advisor at Cigna in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey

Job Description:

MQ Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor that will perform engineering tasks for a critical messaging service that includes design, build and run operations. Candidate will act as a technical lead, participate in roadmap sessions and work alongside peer teams supporting 3 tier applications.

Candidate will also have leadership aspirations.

MQ ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITES:

• Support of distributed and mainframe MQ platforms.


• MQ platform design and architecture.


• Software install, patch and version upgrades.


• Problem management, root cause analysis, issue triage and stake holder communications.


• Experience in planning, design that includes creating roadmaps, strategizing, designing and building highly redundant solution.


• Complete service ownership that includes managing service costs, and communications.


• Agile leadership skills and aspirations to be successful leader cross functionally and having ability to work in matrix organization.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• MQ Engineer with 5+ years of experience


• 5+ years of equivalent work experience in technology


• Leadership experience for small to medium teams size


• College degree in Information Systems or related IT field, or.


• 5+ years of experience with zOS, AIX, RHEL, and Windows


• 5+ years of experience with cloud based technologies


• 5+ years of experience with WebSphere, and other middleware technologies


• 5+ years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, IR360 and other system management tools to perform system monitoring and triage activities.


• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and 24X7 on call support on a rotation basis
