Description

Job Purpose: Perform varied clerical duties in support of office processes and procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • A full range of moderate to complex clerical assignments involving the use of judgment and discretion

  • Answer phone and dispatches customer calls to drivers

  • Create bill of ladings for all sales while following the companies procedures and policies

  • Weigh all trucks as a certified weigh master

  • Coordinate finish product loads with plant manager to ensure all material is sent out timely and according to contract

  • Input vehicle repair orders into web based database and file them away in truck shop

  • Keep track of forms, office supplies, safety supplies inventory. Order supplies when needed

  • Send all lab samples out to lab and update lab reports and pesticides information

  • Enter grease routes, dead stock route, and bone and fat into the CSS; then enter into raw material report

  • Must be available to work some Saturdays during the summer months

  • Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner

  • Follow department and company procedures

  • Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company

  • Other duties as assigned





Position Requirements


  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent

  • Typing of 60 wpm

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook (or similar email software application)

  • One year of education or experience above a high diploma/equivalent

  • Ability to follow oral and written directions to complete assigned tasks

  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and demonstrate analytical skills

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work well with others

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constantly (over 2/3):


  • Operates computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer

  • Remain in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time

  • Review documents, organizes data and detects accuracy of information

  • Works in busy open office area with constant interruptions with need to refocus quickly

Frequently (1/3-2/3):


  • Moves throughout office accessing files, office machinery, etc

  • Communicates with co-workers and exchanges accurate information in-person, telephonically and via electronic devices/e-mail

Occasionally (under 1/3):


  • Moves materials or documents up to 25 lbs.
