PURPOSE

Reporting to the Controller, the Project Accounting Analyst will be an integral part of a three person finance team. We are a small and innovative company and in this role you will get to wear many hats, including project cost analysis and forecasting, project and cost accounting and the monthly financial close and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for the reporting of project costs to the controller and PM (Project Managers) for specific project and all projects in the portfolio. This includes gathering the necessary information from multiple stakeholders and calculating EAC and ETC at the company and project level.

* Assist in the weekly and monthly reporting of project costs in the accounting system and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.

* Responsible for financial weekly project reports as well as project reporting dashboards and other accounting reports for the accounting and various other departments.

* Assist the controller in developing and updating financial budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support and variance to budget explanations.

* Coordinate with the controller and project managers to properly account for development projects.

* Assist in the monthly financial close including making journal entries, reconciling accounts and compiling financial reporting information.

* Assist in the implementation and running of an ERP solution.

* Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCEAND SKILLS

* At least 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

* Solid understanding of US GAAP and cost accounting

* Experience with project costing and variance analysis

* Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

* Strong presentation and prioritization skills, flexibility and creativity

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

The salary compensation starts at: $62,000

Bonuses, based on a percentage of your earnings, are offered on a quarterly basis calculated on company performance.
