Incident Response Lead Architect at Cigna in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Job Description:

The Lead Architect will join the Cigna Information Protection (CIP) group's Security Data Sciences & Development team, with responsibilities for defining and leading the implementation of the team's technical roadmap, providing technical leadership and mentorship, as well as overseeing and approving all development work going into our production environment. This is a senior level technical role where you will work side-by-side with CIP leadership to define and deliver scalable, supportable, cost effective solutions to the organization's most pressing issues. Your day to day activities will include everything from development and architectural work to the mentoring of the team's developers and TECDP's to meeting with customers and stakeholders to help define technical solutions. We are looking for an experienced, sharp minded professional with exceptional analytical and communication skills eager to join a fast paced team known for delivery excellence and analytic insights of the enterprise security landscape.

Responsibilities


  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and oversight for the team's developers and data scientists.

  • Define team's technology strategy and help drive technical stack modernization.

  • Mentor developers and TECDPs in development best practices.

  • Meet with stakeholders to help drive technical requirements for the team's most challenging and technically complex efforts.

Desired Experience


  • Solid foundation in information security, computer science, application development, modeling, statistics, analytics and math. This individual will also need to have strong business acumen, coupled with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate findings to both Business and IT leadership.

  • Must be a current Express-Scripts or Cigna contractor

  • 15+ years working with .NET development framework (C#/VB.NET)

  • 15+ years hands-on experience with data analytics and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, R, etc.).

  • 15+ years traditional relational database platforms (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle).

  • 15+ years Software Development Lifecycle (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).

  • Strong analytical and algorithmic innovative problem-solving ability.

  • Strong hands-on analytic experience, preferably in predictive modeling or automation.

  • Strong knowledge of operating environment technologies (network, server, cloud, OS, RDBMS).

  • Ability to build relationships with business partners, operational managers and colleagues.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work within a geographically diverse team.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under dynamic deadlines.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IS, MIS, Statistics or related rigorous academic discipline strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to a candidate with 15 or more years of relevant work experience.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
