The primary focus of the Operations Manager - Solar is to oversee business operations by providing effective methods to achieve day-to-day operational excellence, maintain and develop client relationships, provide constructability and plant performance advice, and to recruit/develop personnel for ongoing and future projects.

Essential Functions

* Ensure organizational safety expectations are met by all employees
* Monitor the financial performance, productivity and schedule of projects
* Embrace, train and lead continuous improvement processes down to the craft level
* Ensure contractual compliance for current and future projects
* Develop, strengthen, and maintain long lasting client relationships
* Review, optimize and advise on the design and constructability of utility scale solar plants
* Monitor, engage and advise on procurement of BOP materials
* Understanding of solar mechanical and electrical systems including inverters and SCADA systems
* Understand and advise on testing activities and requirements of solar power plants
* Engage with, interview and recommend hiring of project management team members
* Lead, supervise, and audit the work of assigned staff
* Coordinate employee performance reviews
* Facilitate, train and enforce company policies and procedures
* Travel as required to project sites to ensure successful completion
* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

* Strong commitment to safety and the ability to develop a strong safety culture at project sites
* 3-5 years of utility scale solar construction experience
* Excellent communication skills to include written and verbal
* Strong leadership and team building skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to grow a business

Preferred Education

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience (10+ years' in a leadership role within the construction or utilities industry)Company offers competitive salary and benefit package.
