ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Database administrator is responsible for supporting multiple databases that support an Enterprise Unified Communications and Contact Center Solution. The successful candidate will have experience working with multiple databases. Experience with initial installation, troubleshooting, ongoing patching and upgrades is required.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide design, installation, administration, and maintenance for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
Configure and maintain backups and replication
Develop stored procedures and scripting
Maintain Security of database
Monitor performance
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
Proven work experience in design and development of Oracle and MS SQL databases
Proven work experience in supporting multiple databases in a communications environment
Skills and Competencies
Experience (7+ years) developing, maintaining and administering both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Expert in Oracle & MS SQL Database Administration, Installation and Upgrades
Scheme/Table (Data Model) Design and Development
Stored Procedure Development & SQL Scripting
Performance Tuning & Capacity Monitoring
Experience in Data Security, Backup & Recovery
Standby/Failover and Replication Configuration and Administration
Oracle RAC Administration/Installation
SQL Tuning
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be capable of obtaining Level 2 Public Trust Clearance
Experience
5 - 6 years of experience and a Bachelor degree or equivalent, or 4 years of experience and a Master degree or equivalent
