Responsibilities:

*Ensure adherence to all quality systems including, but not limited to, ISO 9001, ISO FSSC 22000 and Food Safety, with an understanding of IFF's Quality Policy and procedures.

*Comply with all Company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Envi-ronmental, GMP's, HAACP and Attendance.

*Mix, blend, and formulate materials according to established formulas, procedures, and quality standards.

*Operate production equipment and production tools, such as heating and cooling batch tanks, mills, sieves, batch/blend tanks, freezers, scales, gauges, forklifts, freeze dryers, blenders, pelletizers, dishwashers, and autoclaves.

*Monitor the status of the production processes. This may involve, but is not limited to, collecting lab samples; monitoring temperature, pressure, pH, and volumes; taking measurements, interpreting charts, and recording data.

*Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to make the necessary adjustments in the production process, such as adjusting control instruments, moving products, and adding raw materials.

*Recognize atypical/incorrect conditions in the production area and contact the appropriate person-nel. Correct conditions outside standard operating procedures and normal operational parameters, if necessary.

*Maintain accurate written records or logs of all production process-es/equipment/maintenance/routine cleaning.

*Monitor machinery and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Contact the proper au-thority for major adjustments or repair.

*Assemble and disassemble production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions.

*Clean, sanitize, and sterilize all production/packaging equipment and other process areas in the plant. Prepare materials for blending, which requires weighing and mixing raw materials in accord-ance with the batch tickets specifications, and using filling equipment in accordance with batch tick-et specifications.

*Move raw materials, equipment, and final products throughout the plant.

*Load and unload process equipment.

*Assist in maintaining process and non-process areas in compliance with current regulatory agencies.

*Order replacement parts to maintain adequate supplies for production and operation.


Job Requirements




Requirements:

*Must have a high school education or equivalent, a successful work history, the ability to work as a team player, and proven mechanical ability.

*Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using percentages and decimals and must be able to utilize the metric system for measurement.

*Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and in-structions.

*Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job in a safe and efficient manner.

*Must have the basic understanding of computers to retrieve and enter data on a database and navigate the internet for safety training.

*Should be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry fifty-five (55) pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and move throughout the plant; move and maneuver seven hundred fifty (750) pounds with mechan-ical assistance.

*Must have the ability to reach, grasp, handle, and use manual dexterity to operate equipment controls.

*Must be able to differentiate changes in color, and detect problems with machinery and prob-lems in the production process.

*Must be able to wear proper PPE and Respiratory protection, when required.

*Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job in a safe and efficient manner in alignment with IFF's Safety training programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in temperatures ranging from negative forty (-40) degrees to seventy five (75) degrees Fahrenheit. Conditions may be wet, slippery, humid, and dusty.

The work requires that employees be able to maintain a high level of personal hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and be free of communicable disease as directed by the plant communicable disease stand-ard.

Operator must use personal protective equipment as determined by the environmental hygiene as-sessment survey.
