The Relocation Specialist is responsible for assisting International nurses and their families to relocate to the United States. The support will be provided via securing nurses housing, booking flights for the nurses and their families, scheduling the nurse's pre-start appointments/certification courses prior to arrival, and for ensuring that the nurses receive an excellent relocation service.
Job Tasks:
Assign operational and functional activities and disseminate policy to department and contract staff. Provide training, give work directions, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
Partner with appropriate internal teams to ensure cost effective quality service to the nurses ensuring on-time start and solid foundation in a new environment.
Evaluate current procedures and practices and implement improvements that result in maximization of objectives and minimization of costs.
Establish relationships with apartment complexes and negotiate leasing arrangements in accordance with established corporate guidelines to ensure cost effective, safe housing in close proximity to work assignment.
Research the location of Client facilities to give clinicians an overview of housing, schools and any other areas relevant to their relocation.
Manage, guide and evaluate the performance of staff (Meet and Greet Representatives) responsible for international relocation services in accordance with established standards of quality and service.
Review, seek approval and submit timecards and expense reports for Meet and Greet representatives.
Adhere to a pre-agreed budget guidelines for Relocation and Meet and Greet. Track all costs related to relocation.
Build and maintain a positive working relationship with foreign trained RN upon arrival in US and throughout assignment.
Partner with Quality Services to maintain compliance.
Ensure all New Hire paperwork is submitted within 3 days of start.
Follow up with New Hire to ensure enrollment in benefits within the required timelines.
Obtain US contact number within 2 days of arrival and enter into AMIE.
Anticipate after hour's relocation or arrival needs and communicate to senior leader when needed.
Ensure all loans have adequate back-up and approval.
Education, Certifications & Experience
Minimum Education/Certifications:
HS Diploma
Preferred Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience:
12 months experience in a service industry and/or relocation/ hospitality experience
Preferred Experience
5 years' experience in a service industry and/or relocation/ hospitality experience.
