Our factory in Crete, NE is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. as a mass producer of over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including brands like Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies® and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets® brands. With the city of Lincoln just 25 miles from the factory, many of our associates find convenience in larger-city living in Lincoln and embrace the short commute to the quainter city of Crete.

As a Boiler Operator, your role, in the bigger picture, is to manage the preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will handle projects that span the electrical, mechanical and automation maintenance challenges. This position will be scheduled for an off shift (2nd or 3rd shift). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with air compressors, vacuum pumps, fire suppression systems, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Assist with projects outside the boiler room such as preventative and predictive maintenance techniques and equipment rebuilds/repairs.
• Ensure continuous operations of steam boilers.
• Perform water quality testing for boiler and infeed water.
• Operate and troubleshoot utility, mechanical, and electrical systems with minimal production downtime and callbacks on equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with high pressure boilers in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
