Microscopy Imaging Specialist

The Imaging Specialist/Business Development Professional (IS/BD) serves as the Product Champion and Sales Subject-Matter Expert for the Light Microscope product line as applied to industrial imaging and analysis. The Light Microscope product line includes both Upright and Inverted wide-field microscopes, Digital microscopes, and Confocal microscopes. The IS/BD must fully understand the product hardware portfolio; must fully understand the suite of respective software capabilities and altogether must be able to recommend the best solution for the customer needs. The IS/BD may be responsible for direct sales to various key accounts. In addition, the IS/BD will work closely in a team environment to enable field channel managers to drive sales through the existing distributor and dealer channel network. As part of the leadership team, and from a business development perspective, the IS/BD will play an integral role in developing new sales channels to market, and partnerships. The IS/BD will assist in helping to refine business processes such as CRM, distribution management and rationalization, and work across the organization to optimize revenue generation. Furthermore, the IS/BD will provide critical feedback on market trends, competition, emerging application areas, and resource needs via input to Germany through a structured and regular schedule.

You are:



  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on relevant product experience with light microscopy.

  • A four-year degree in Engineering, Math or Physics. Master's degree preferred.

  • An understanding of various measurement techniques to assess surface finish, metallographic analysis, layer thickness, the use cases for fluorescence and polarized ligh.t

  • Strong computer skills and affinity for computer aided data analysis products.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn independently to find solutions to potential customer's problems.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create concise technical reports.

  • Ability to reason and negotiate complex problems with customers.
