Job Description:

The University of Pittsburgh Psychology Department is seeking a Research Assistant. This position involves assisting graduate students and full-time staff on an NIH-funded study of the development of walking and language. The employee will assist with data collection for a subset of participating families and with data coding and data entry. The Psychology Department is located in a unique setting, Sennott Square, a state-of-the-art academic and research building. The department is also a center for multidisciplinary programs in which students and faculty conduct basic research in behavioral and cognitive sciences that address real-world problems. The Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences is committed to building a culturally diverse staff. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community are required. A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Science or other related (or an equivalent combination of educational and professional experience) is necessary. These qualifications are necessary because the position requires data coding and processing skills.
