CNC Machinist Trainee - Multiple Shifts at Metro Mold & Design, LLC in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

The CNC Machinist Trainee program is designed to give entry level machinists and those interested in learning machining the opportunity to be trained by our onsite trainer in order to launch a career with us as a CNC Machinist. The entry level machinist will be trained on either CNC Swiss machining centers or CNC Milling machines.

The CNC Machinist Trainee will be trained in the following:

• Operating multiple CNC machines including tool changes and offsets.


• Reading blueprints and performing quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, microscope, vision systems, CMMs, and other inspection tools.


• Completing documentation in related computer systems.


• Those showing more advanced skill will eventually be trained in machine setup and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in a machining career and good mechanical aptitude.


• A good attitude, willingness to listen and learn, and good attendance.


• Good English communication skills and basic math skills.


• Previous manufacturing experience or machine trades schooling ideal but not required.

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday (5:00am – 3:30pm)


• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday (3:30pm – 2:00am)


• Weekdays: Monday – Thursday (5:00am – 5:00pm)


• Weeknights: Monday – Thursday (5:00pm – 5:00am)


• Weekend Days: Friday – Sunday (5:00am – 5:00pm)


• Weekend Days: Friday – Sunday (6:00am – 6:00pm)


• Weekend Nights: Friday – Sunday (5:00pm – 5:00am)


• Weekend Nights: Friday – Sunday (6:00pm – 6:00am)
