Broadleaf SETA contractors are currently supporting the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Linux-based communication platform designed for commanders to track friendly and hostile forces on the battlefield.
Our software developers work hand-in-hand with Broadleaf System and Information Security Engineers who are charged with implementing and verifying this system’s cybersecurity accreditation. Tracking and remediating bugs, parsing Java/C++ code, and resolving interoperability issues brought about due to vulnerability patching are among the day to day responsibilities of a software developer supporting this system, now in sustainment.
This position supports a critical mission to increases a vehicle commander's situational awareness of the battlefield by gathering information near real-time based on vehicle locations being updated on the battlefield. Broadleaf SETA contractors are successfully helping PM MC field a digital command and control system that provides battle command and situational awareness information from brigade down to the soldier/platform level.
Job Description:
Design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications.
Work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
Develop tools and interfaces.
Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.
Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
Design embedded systems software.
Requirements/Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience is required.
Experience developing in virtualized environments
Coding & trouble shooting in C/C++ in a Linux environment
Coding & trouble shooting in Java in Linux environment
Experience with Red Hat Linux OS, VSphere, Shell scripting, Atlassian
Experience working with version control systems, especially git
Certification(s):
DoD IAT Level II
Security+ certification (preferred)
Clearance Level:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical
