Nordson MEDICAL designs, engineers and manufactures complex devices and components with applications in wound healing, surgical and minimally invasive, fluid management, pulmonology and interventional and structural heart. Under the supervision of the Product Distribution Lead, the Product Distribution Specialist is primarily responsible for the picking, packing and shipping activities within the Company. These responsibilities include, extensive use of the Company's ERP Software package, ensuring product is packed properly to maintain integrity during transit, and meticulous attention to detail and quality work. The Product Distribution Specialist is also responsible for domestic and international shipments, including preparing all necessary documentation. The specialist will also perform light project work, assist in managing inventories, assist in administrative work, and maintain equipment and work sites in a clean and orderly manner.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Processes the pick, pack, verification, and shipment of all outgoing customer orders in a timely and accurate fashion within the company's ERP software.
Receives, moves, cycle counts, adjusts, and ensures the accuracy of all inventories.
Adheres to all pertinent procedures and policies.
Accurately completes, and ensures the inclusion of any necessary order documentation, both domestic and international.
Continually evaluate all processes and recommend improvements to manager.
Movement of bulk and finished packaged items throughout all process in the department, consolidating, labeling, and scanning of packages and storage containers while validating lot control and segregation.
Applies company quality standards and makes appropriate evaluation of quality conformance.
Value Plastics, Inc. operates a Monday thru Friday shift, as well Friday thru Monday (e.g. 4-10s). The Product Distribution Specialist must be willing to work either of the shifts or other extended hours to support production requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor (i.e. written and/or verbal).
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Minimum of 1-year experience in warehouse practices utilizing computer directed pick and put-away experience using bar code equipment.
Prior experience in running automated packaging equipment is desired.
The Specialist will be required to work overtime occasionally and must be flexible and open-minded to working in a rapidly changing environment.

Must understand and be able to apply appropriate ISO 13485 concepts.
Well developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, detailed work instructions and sophisticated product/equipment training and troubleshooting guides. Ability to write clear and concise correspondence.
Basic math skills (i.e. ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals). Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs as required.
Good analytical skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficient in use and navigation of a Windows operating system in a networked environment.
Proficient in use and navigation of web-based shipping interfaces.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to carry out daily work tasks via software within an enterprise ERP software system.

Salary & Benefits
Base Salary Range for this position is $12.32- $17.30hr; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity.
