Resting at 7,000 feet and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, the scenic city of Flagstaff remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers, like Nestlé Purina. Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, our Nestlé Purina Family in Flagstaff experiences the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, we mass manufacture 270,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo® and Pro Plan® brands - and we're doing it all underneath 70,000 square feet of solar panels to draw nearly 12 million kilowatt hours of clean emission-free solar electricity.

The Operator Pool provides industrial sanitation support to the factory, which allows us to stay in compliance with Government Agencies, such as the FDA, OSHA, and USDA. The Government regulations require us to maintain sanitary levels of all our equipment, which includes but is not limited to, Extruders, Dryers, Mixers, Feeders, etc. The Operator Pool is the feeder group for all Operator positions within the various Production Departments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing support to Operators in Production in Unloading, Processing and Packing departments.
• Performing regulated sanitation requirements.
• Completing micro-bacterial corrective actions.
• Cover for vacations and other Operator absences as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

• High School Diploma OR GED Equivalent.
• 1+ years' work experience required. Experience operating heavy machinery in a manufacturing, food handling, food safety, military, or related experience preferred.
