Position is located in St. Joseph, MO . Local Candidates will be considered.

Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide support to the Safety and Health function for St. Joseph Research & Development facility.

GENERAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Support continuous improvement of the Safety and Health function with Research and Development facility.
2. Support compliance with Corporate Safety Policies and OSHA Regulations, including compliance with OHSAS 18001 Safety Management System.
3. Assist with making improvements to existing risk assessments and developing new ones, if required.
4. Scheduling safety training and tracking completion for all employees.
5. Assist with new hire safety orientation by preparing safety paperwork for new hires.
6. Entering data such as safety inspection information into spreadsheet to ensure compliance.
7. Ensure departments are up to date on safety corrective actions.
8. Filing safety documents in appropriate folders and files.
9. Conduct trending data on safety incidents and BBS observations to complete reports for safety committees.
10. Develop safety awareness campaigns, toolboxes, trainings and activities to assist the safety department in engaging the employees.
11. Additional duties as assigned.
