Medline Industries, Inc. is seeking a talented individual with knowledge of and experience working with enterprise SAP and Custom Applications using techno-functional skills. The Systems Analyst will work closely with our Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments to continue building our quoting tool used by Medline's sales force. The individual must possess the willingness and capability to read and analyze our custom ABAP solutions at the source code level. They will participate in systems implementation and support including configuration, testing, documentation, and user support for all applications.
Job Responsibilities
Work with a team of system analysts and business sponsors to gather business requirements for enhancements and new features for our sales rep quoting tool as well as our annualized smart wizard application.
Turn those business requirements into user stories that can be refined, estimated and developed.
Participate in backlog refinement where user stories are further groomed in preparation for sprint planning.
Participate in sprint planning by explaining the enhancement or feature you are leading and gather all necessary estimates from the developers and architects for sprint capacity planning.
Work with developers during the sprint to assist with data needed, testing and technical questions.
Test features and bug fixes in our development and test environments.
Deliver new features to the business in the form of a demo.
Work with the team to migrate those changes to our production systems.
Participate in all scrum ceremonies - daily stand up, retrospectives, backlog refinement and business sponsor demos.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Analyst role
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a developer role using ABAP
Experience in SAP customer master, material master and pricing related transactions for data analysis and testing
Experience debugging functions and programs within SAP
Basic knowledge of XI (PI) and Web Services, API Gateway
Gather business requirements from business sponsors
Convert business requirements into user stories
Ability to write well written user stories for JAVA, UI and ABAP developers both near and offshore
Liaison and work with developers and SAP configuration analysts to configure/develop solutions for SAP/Custom Applications
Develop test plans and test scripts for quality delivery of new functions and features.
Participate and provide direction in migration planning activities and deployment to production environments.
Provide post-implementation support for implemented solutions during bi-monthly night time migrations.
Ability to demo completed work to the business sponsors.
Ability to work through sprint planning and solution planning with developers.
Provide daily support for sales force and business users using quoting application
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills (ability to articulate business solutions and at the same time have the ability to communicate with technical teams to develop and configure solutions)
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
Experience with JAVA or other Web UI languages
Be able to write basic SQL queries against database to run reports
