JOB FUNCTION

Performs routine inspection of products for conformance to specific product standards. Properly load and unload various types of production equipment. Perform various types of assembly and packaging operations. Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned. Supplies materials to the production process where applicable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to the following:


  1. Visually inspect and load molded parts on paint line

  2. Visually inspect, stamp and pack painted parts per work instructions and packaging diagram

  3. Unload painted parts from oven line.

  4. Assemble component parts using various assembly and wrapping machines

  5. Label boxes and finished goods per packaging diagrams and BOM

  6. Keep Cell Coordinator/Supervisor informed of any abnormalities in the production flow

  7. Records appropriate data collections as required.

  8. Inform Technicians of any defects found in a timely manner

  9. Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled

  10. Maintain a safe and clean work area

  11. Must be knowledgeable in required personal protective equipment

  12. Must be a team player

  13. Work overtime to cover absenteeism on other shifts

  14. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must possess one or more of the following:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • One to three months related experience and/or training

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    SAFETY REQUIREMENTS


    Must observe and practice all safety regulations. This includes wearing and using properly the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS


    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


    REASONING ABILITY


    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklift traffic and moving production lines. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to work overtime and to work overtime at short notice. Must be able to work well with other associates and follow all company rules, regulations and policies.
