The Office of Payroll and Employee Services is excited to hire a Payroll Manager to provide management of payroll and financial matters for the University of Oklahoma.
The position will report to the Administrator III and lead a team of 4 full-time staff. The position will interact frequently with Human Resources, Provost office, Colleges, Budget & Financial Planning, and other academic and non-academic units.

Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field, OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
24-36 months of experience in payroll
Skills:
Advanced excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Strong initiative to solve problems
Ability to interpret University policy and State rules/regulations

System Testing Experience
18 hours of college level Accounting coursework
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification
Proficient navigating and maintaining databases in Financial Reporting, Human Resource, and Tax Management databases
Proficiency with federal and state payroll documents, including 941, W2, W2-C, and W3
Proficiency in writing queries within data systems
Supervision: 1-5 Staff
