Position Overview

This position is responsible for supporting an office/department through specializing in the coordination of assigned processes and by providing varied administrative support.  The Administrator II's span of responsibility typically involves moderately complex processes and/or larger or more than one department/office.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain files, documents and system/database data, and produce scheduled and/or requested reports

  • Follow standard procedures in conducting assigned processes.  Complete all necessary steps, documentation, systems entry, and filing to ensure proper completion.

  • Prepare and distribute correspondence

  • Assist in the flow of information and documentation to facilitate internal coordination, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Support day-to-day administrative needs of office/department, this could include ordering supplies; mail distribution; basic ticketing/accounting/billing tasks; general human resources support; and phone, customer and visitor support.

  • Where applicable, assist with inbound/outbound commodity activity.

  • Assist with projects as assigned

  • Has developed knowledge and skills through job related training or considerable experience

  • Often entry level for those with work experience in relevant areas

  • Works within established procedure with a moderate degree of supervision

  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations; assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions




Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • 2-4 years' relevant experience required
