Job Description:

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient substance use disorder program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.
In the role as a Mental Health Therapist, clinicians would maintain an outpatient therapy case load while designing and implementing treatment/interventions reflective of identified patient needs. This role would work at the Stillwater clinic location in an office setting. This new location opens in April 2021.

Ideal candidates have a passion for providing outpatient therapy services, are committed to providing a high level of care to all clients, have strong organizational skills, enjoy collaborating with others, and an interest in continuing to develop competencies as a clinician. At this time, our Stillwater clinic is seeking Therapists who are competent to work with patients of any age (children, adolescents and/or adults). You can decide which patient population and ages you're interested and comfortable providing services to.
Other duties include:

Hold a 70% retention rate of clients assigned to them
Complete a mental health diagnostic assessment on patients requiring that one be done
Maintaining legible and organized outpatient records in accordance with policy requirements
Ensuring appropriate coordination of care for patients and collaboration with other professionals
Attending and participating in all clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews
Following policies and procedures of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd
Responsible for timely completion of Managed Care applications and ongoing documentation as needed
Other duties as assigned

COVID Consideration: All in person sessions follow strict Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for safety of staff and clients

Qualifications:

Mental Health Professional as per Minnesota and Rule 29 regulations
Unrestricted license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Independent Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (LP) or pursuing one of these licensures.
If unlicensed, must have completed (or will have completed within 2-4 months) a master's or doctorate program in behavioral health, as well as an internship/practicum and are qualified to pursue LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, or LP.
Due to demand, Nystrom clinicians typically offer 1-2 evenings per week.
Previous experience working with clients ages 18+ or 5+.
