Housekeeping Staff - Caldwell YMCA at TREASURE VALLEY FAMILY YMCA in Caldwell, Idaho

Job Description:

The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.

Housekeepers are responsible for creating safe and clean environment within the YMCA facility by being responsible for regular laundry, mopping and vacuuming, bathroom maintenance, and janitorial duties. The Housekeeping Department is expected to be proactive in keeping all areas of the branch clean, safe, and well maintained.

Key Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 45 days. Experience in routine maintenance, janitorial machinery, and the application and safe handling of chemicals is preferred, but not required. Highly qualified candidates must also show the ability to motivate and support staff with day to day activities.

Must have the physical ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of time as well as the ability to lift weight of 50 pounds or more. This position may require bending, stooping, leaning and kneeling.

Schedule Requirements:
This is a part time position, Thursday & Friday- 4:00pm- 9:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm - 6:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
