Pos Position Description:
The Specialty Vehicle Sales Representative (SVSR) position will be responsible for developing and converting sales opportunities in new and existing markets. The SVSR will be the face of Kentucky Trailer to customers, and will create detailed business plans and quotations to close and win deals that facilitate attainment of company growth objectives. The SVSR will identify and work closely with new and existing prospects to gather specifications for new builds, and convert those prospects and opportunities into "sold/won jobs".
The successful candidate will have a history of bringing in new business, achieving sales goals, and will love the challenge of outbound prospecting in a competitive market. The SVSR will collaborate with the VPSMBD to develop multi-media marketing presentations and promotional materials as required to support sales growth. The SVSR will also interface and need to work well with other KTSV team members and departments / resources (I.e.: Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Administrative) to assure that finished work quality and delivery meet and exceed customer expectations. Occasional domestic travel as required to engage prospects, close/win business deals, and participate in various industry trade shows, conferences and events.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Dynamic, high performing, personable and enthusiastic individual who is focused on sales growth and possesses the required technical and organizational skills to be successful. Proven experience as a successful Sales Account Executive or other Sales Leader / Customer Service role. *Transportation, semi-truck and trailer and/or Specialty Vehicle Industry experience a plus. Proficient at market research, all sales processes and is a skilled negotiator. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong business acumen. Must possess an ease with people and the ability to develop new relationships easily. Adept at use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). *Knowledge of CRM software (i.e. Salesforce) a plus. Bachelor's degree from a four-year university required.
