Schedule: TEMPORARY POSITION Part-time 20 hours. Varying shifts between 6:30 am - 7:30 pm and every other weekend

This is a temporary position to cover vacations during the summer. The Food Service Workerperforms a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution and service of food for Hospital patients, visitors and staff. Please note public transportation does not service the hospital on Sundays so alternate transportation is required for Sunday shifts.

Position includes:

• Assembling, delivering, and retrieving patient meal trays


• Working in the dishroom


• Cleaning floors and equipment


• Restocking work stations


• Light food preparation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred


• Ability to read English to follow recipes, read menus/meal tickets and job flows.


• Ability to speak proficient English.


• Great customer service skills required.


• Must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to push catering carts, carrying/moing items up to 25 lbs, bending, lifting, and reaching


• Ability to stand in stationary position and/or walk quicklyfor long periods oftime


• Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards
