Position Professional in Residence
Primary Responsibility

Teach as an adjunct for all journalism-related classes.

Work with students individually and in small groups to offer real-world perspective and feedback on their writing and video projects.

Prepare seniors for today's journalism job market.

Partner with Chair and Communication faculty to create day-long Communication and Journalism conferences, one in October and one in March, pending pandemic protocols.

Bring to campus, virtually or otherwise, notable guests for students.

Work with the university in an at-large capacity to enhance its profile in appropriate areas.

Education

Masters in Communication preferred (or similar degree).

Experience

Experience in professional field required.

Qualifications

Working knowledge in journalism field.
