The Legal Recruiting Specialist will join a supportive and collaborative office. The specialist will provide support to Legal Recruiting with the planning and execution of the summer associate program, on-campus interview process, and lateral associate hiring efforts. The specialist will also work with the New York Recruiting team on projects, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Summer Associate Program:
Coordinates the planning of the summer program, including calendar and budget
Maintain database of summer associate assignments, files, and paperwork; schedule mid- and end-of-summer evaluations
Monitor summer associate work assignment board
Attend social events, as needed
Draft and finalize offer letters (summer associate and full time)
Prepare materials for recruiting events and recruiting meetings
Prepare correspondence (e-mails and offer letters) to candidates
Coordinates arrival of Summer Associates including office assignments, arrival and departure dates, orientation, and mentors/supervising attorneys
Act as main point of contact for Boston summer associates
On-Campus Interviews
Coordinate the on-campus interview process for the Boston office
Liaise with Career Services contacts at the law schools from which the Boston office recruits
Maintain LawCruit database of applicants; review and respond to applications as appropriate
Register office for necessary OCI/EIP programs, 1L outreach programs, and any on-campus recruiting events
Staff interviewers for various on-campus interview programs and outreach events
Prepare and share on-campus interview information to the interviewers (schedules, resume and application packets)
Coordinate and schedule callback interviews with lawyers
Maintain recruiting calendar
Review, organize, and send write-in applications to hiring partners
Assign and track follow-up with candidates with offers
Schedule debrief calls with interview participants; prepare hiring committee packets and distribute to debrief call participants
Attend recruiting meetings, keeping organized record of all decisions made and action steps following meetings
Maintain OCI Tracking Report
Act as main point of contact for recruits throughout the process
General
Prepare and process recruiting expenses and invoices in Chrome River as needed
Assist with developing recruiting materials and brochures
Assist with planning sponsorships and 1L outreach events during the year
Ensure New Hire paperwork is completed for all Boston summer, lateral and fall associates; assist with the on-boarding of the fall associates as needed
Work with New York and Firm-wide Legal Recruiting team with projects as needed
Lateral Recruiting
Assist with scheduling interviews, drafting offer letters
Conduct lateral orientation

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of two years' legal recruiting experience
Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and be proactive
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
Law firm or professional services experience
