Nice-Pak Products, Inc. (NP) is the global developer, manufacturer and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning and disinfection products. We have several locations across the US and are looking for new Associates to join our team!


POSITION PURPOSE


This position will work closely with all functional units; Finance, Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering and other applicable departments to analyze and develop standardized data as it pertains to People, Process and Reliability of operations.


Responsible for preparing, conducting collecting data, evaluating and trending Lean Manufacturing operations. Generates standard data collection procedures and make presentations to be used in evaluation of Value Stream Members in Lean Process Manufacturing. Conduct training covering Safety, Quality, 5S, KATA, Lean Events and JIT Manufacturing.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES


The Operational Excellence Tech works with all NicePak members providing facilitation and guidance in a variety of operational areas and standards including but not limited to Job Standards, Work Instructions and Visual Aids. The Opex Tech also responsible for:



  • Visual documents throughout the Plant

  • Maintenance, upkeep and creation of Communication Boards (Office and Lineside)

  • Creating and facilitation of training materials

  • Maintaining data tracking database and subsequent trending compliance reporting

  • All other duties as assigned.


The Opex tech also:



  • Is actively be involved in Daily Gemba Walks for Safety, Quality and Productivity

  • Works with Process Engineering Department is development of standard process data collection

  • Demonstrates a mastery in computer and technology skill on a daily basis:

    • Using PowerPoint to create and edit documents for training and including visual aides

    • Using Microsoft Word to create and edit documents including Work Instruction's, Standard Operation Procedures, Visual Management Sheets (WI's / SOP's / VMS')

    • Using Microsoft Excel to create and edit documents including formula's, graphs and decision-making data



  • Makes communication boards including labeling, pin striping and posting materials and maintains up to date information for communication boards as needed

  2. Quality (FPY)

  3. Line Efficiency (OEE)

  4. OpEX Lean Compliance - 5S oversight

  5. Changeover Compliance

  6. Waste Analysis


QUALIFICATIONS























EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:



B.S. Degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting or equivalent experience in Manufacturing environment preferred



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:



Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / OpEX / Lean Manufacturing Knowledge Preferred



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



2+ years manufacturing experience or Internship experience in Manufacturing Preferred



SKILLS/ABILITIES:



Ability to trouble shoot, Attention to detail, technological aptitude, team dynamics, skilled communicator, flexible (will require occasional off shift assistance), takes and follows direction. Light lifting and reaching will be required.
