About this role

Avaya Federal Solutions - Thornton Colorado, has an immediate opportunity for a Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) and Facilities Manager, to manage all security aspects of classified U.S. Government programs and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of a cleared facility. The willingness to wear "multiple hats" and assist with office management and office operations, as well as all aspects of the facility security program is critical.

To be considered for this position you must have an active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

About the responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DoD industrial security policies and procedures in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operational Manual (NISPOM).


• Maintain Facility Clearance.


• Responsible for the preparation of all security forms.


• Complete corporate reports for security clearance data/reporting to management.


• Prepares for security assessments, including Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) visits, security audits and self-inspections.


• Support government and company audits and inspections.


• Purchase material and supplies.


• Assist with shipping and receiving including pickup, handling, and proper storage of mail, documents, and material.

About the qualifications

• United States citizen with a current U.S. SECRET security clearance.


• Minimum of five (5) years' experience providing professional administrative/security support in U.S. Government or corporate office environment.


• Expertise in administering or supporting a classified program.


• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office.


• If not already held, must completeFSOcertification within the first year of employment.

Additional Qualifications

• United States citizen with U.S. Top Secret security clearance.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Previous DoD or related civilian experience as a Security Support Specialist / Assistant FSO or Information System Security Assistant
