Job Description


The Commercial and Marketing Digital Business Analyst acts as the intermediary between the business and IT, utilizing an understanding of business processes and technology to help business partners achieve their desired outcomes. The position will engage with business partners to capture business needs and translate those needs to requirements. The Business Analyst will participate both hands-on and guiding 3rd parties / managed services through the software development lifecycle, including generation of functional and technical specifications, documentation of processes, generation and execution of test scripts and management of the change control process.

This position will also support daily operational responsibilities for Commercial and Marketing systems, including Customer Relationship Management and Digital / Web platforms. This position will also serve as a liason between business partners and 3rd parties / managed services or other team members in BI&TS for problem and issue resolution.

Essential Functions

  • Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements.

  • Understand business needs and convert them to business requirements and functional specifications. Define business process diagrams, testing scenarios and acceptance criteria. Provide oversight and guidance to 3rd parties supporting software deployment.

  • Perform system configuration and system testing. Provide oversight and guidance to 3rd parties supporting software deployment. Engage both developers, application configuration team members and business partners for software deployment.

  • Provide operational support for software and technical operations. Collaborate with 3rd parties and managed service providers to support consistent availability and functionality of systems.

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:


Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related business field


2 - 5 Years Information Systems Experience


  • Bachelor degree in IT field (computer science, information systems, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years IT experience including field enablement technologies such as customer relationship management (CRM), digital technology including web platforms


  • Analytic Ability - Can work with data to identify patterns, uses judgment to form conclusions that may challenge conventional wisdom, and focuses on the crux of issues to identify high leverage intervention points and strategies

  • Business Results Orientation - Seeks to understand the business needs and deliver prompt, efficient, quality, service

  • Requirements Management - converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

Works with Digital Business Partners and key personnel in Marketing and Commercial functions.

Working Conditions:

Works within a normal office environment. Travel ~ 15% required
