Ensures area safety inspections are completed, incidents are recorded in a timely matter, mandatory safety stand downs are being conducted, and visual present is always be maintained in assigned work area for purpose of discouraging poor safety and housekeeping practices
Interface with sales coordinator team to ensure the needs of the customer are met.
Managing the cost performance of the terminal with the involvement of the Regional Terminal Manager
Help establish and adhere to operating budget by managing the day to day purchases and activities
Select and develop hourly person to perform required labor and general maintenance as needed.
Evaluate, prepare, and review quarterly performance report
Maintain the facility to expectations of efficiency and orderliness.
Set and consistently achieve aggressive Continuous Improvement goals in "Key Process indicators (KPI's)
Provide regular interface with customers and use that for product flow planning
Maintain a close working relationship with the trucking contractors
Maintain a close working relationship with the railroad, be able to evaluate the condition of the rail pipeline.
Work with Alabama shipping department to coordinate product flow
Technical and operating skills
Good hands on knowledge of bulk material handling
Proficient in the technical details of rail and truck shipping, plant and regional capabilities, and the quality needs of customers
Good understanding of basic mechanical maintenance and able to operate and do basic maintenance on dust collector filters, air compressors, conveyors, and rail tracks.
Ability to operate onsite equipment such as trackmobile, forklift, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to plan and direct the work of hourly personnel and to train and develop an effective workforce and administrate corrective action as needed

Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Previous SAP knowledge is a plus.
Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:
Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust.
Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
Will be working in an office environment as well as in a mining, and mineral processing environment.
The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Travel up to 15%.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of previous project leader, leadperson or supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing, construction, and/or mining/mineral processing environment is required.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED. AA degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or technical related field or equivalent work experience in the field is desired
Additional training in trade or military is a plus.
