Job Description



Our transportation team helps improve the connectivity of the community through solutions that support the safe and efficient movement of goods, services and people.

Responsibilities:


  • Communications Engineering: Responsible for Communications engineering, including detailed design for fiber and copper facilities.

  • Duties may include preparing, providing guidance, or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for communications projects including: line routing, structure selection and design, plan & profile drawings, hardware and conductor selection, equipment and construction specifications, and all associated calculations.

  • Utility Relocation Engineering: Involved in relocation plan design for highway construction projects







Minimum Qualifications




  • High School diploma required; Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSP Engineering, Make-Ready, and Construction; Provide the planning, analysis, and recommendations in support of new construction of outside/inside plant network structures and facilities.

  • Familiarized with communications design production and procedures.

  • Computer-Aided Drafting experience (MicroStation and/or Open Roads experience a plus).

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in the utility industry
