The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Responsibility Statement
Lilly is seeking a Medical Affairs External Engagement Apprentice who shares our passion for making life better for people around the world. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative oversight and support external engagement. The Associate will partner with appropriate internal and external business colleagues to ensure strong operational support for various external engagement workstreams. The role is responsible supporting various operational aspects of external engagement, including both thought leader engagement planning activities as well as congress planning activities. The Apprentice is responsible for high quality, timely, compliant, and on-budget fulfilment of deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Support processes necessary vital to enable standardized implementation of TL Thought Leader Engagement, Ad Boards, Congresses and any other relevant external touchpoints.
Support opportunities for collaborations across regions and business units within the Medical Affairs organization.
Help find efficiencies in the delivery of external engagements streamlining costs, improving quality and consistency and enhancing the ultimate customer experience.
Support the External Engagement team and their mission to ensure external engagement initiatives within the BU which impact the Oncology Medical Affairs Organization
Promote collaborations with key internal and external customers to ensure compliance continuous and process
Answer administrative questions from internal customers regarding external engagements.
Support team communication plan to ensure effective communication with internal and external business partners. Provide or drive immediate and accurate communication of key decisions/results.
Operational Support
Support the development of an integrated and aligned project plan between the team and partner that clarifies roles, responsibilities, SOPs, assignment of deliverables as well as an accountability model and metrics.
Support the operational management structures for plan execution, monitoring, and control.
Support and help facilitate clear and effective communication
Build strong internal and external working relationships and third party providers to meet operational support needs.
Basic Qualifications
Requirements:
HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
