The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.  

 

Responsibility Statement 

Lilly is seeking a Payer Communications Apprentice who shares our passion for making life better for people around the world. The Payer Communications Apprentice role would be part of the Lilly Value & Access (LVA) Training, Communications & Operations team. The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Payer Communications Associate in supporting the LVA field teams and select payer communications related to launch priorities. While the bulk of the apprenticeship is focused on Payer Communications, the apprentice will also have the opportunity to partner on an ad hoc basis with the Field Operations Associate to learn and grow in that operations role as well. The Apprentice will have the opportunity to cultivate knowledge across the LVA business, collaborate with cross-functional business partners, and understand upstream and downstream implications of our work. Additionally, he/she will have the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical market. In this role, the Apprentice will develop a foundation payer knowledge and gain exposure to multiple business and functional areas, including Brand teams, Channel Management, Field teams, Human Resources and Legal. With coaching and feedback, Lilly will provide you the ability to further your growth as a professional within the organization.  

 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Develop understanding across the LVA organization and key business partners. Use this knowledge to support daily tasks, workstreams and projects. 


  • Support the development of communication tactics for US Pricing Compendia Organizations, Drug Wholesalers, and Pharmacies. 


  • Partner to build Implementation Guides and FAQs to support field Market Managers and The Lilly Answers Center (TLAC). 


  • Manage, monitor and improve the LVA Lilly HUB website and LillyTrade.com for necessary changes and updates. 


  • Assist in delivering weekly LVA Field Communications.  


  • Partner with Human Resources, IT, Legal to understand compliance surrounding field destruction notices. 


  • Support Knowledge University through scheduling sessions, creating agendas, disseminating logistics and executing successfully. 


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop process improvements across workstreams and platforms 


  • Process and track Field Communication Approval Process (FCAP) and Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) Review requests for non-branded materials.


  • Support field requests for business information as needed in partnership with Field Operations team member. 


 

Basic Qualifications 

Requirements:    

HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Skills/Preferences 

 Desired Experience:  


  • At least 1 year of college and/or associate degree in a related field.  


  • Experience, knowledge and desire to work in Pharma / Healthcare  


  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills 


  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
