The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Leadership Team with managing the daily warehouse operations at the West Nyack Distribution Center. The position is also responsible for performing all transactions related to order fulfillment and product receipts. This position requires a close working relationship with all levels of management in the Warehouse(s), Operations team and Quality team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Maintains safety, quality and productivity goals for the Distribution Center (DC) operation.
Maintains acceptable and accurate inventory levels by performing periodic cycle counts.
Performs inventory transactions and maintains cycle counting data.
Communicates with Supply chain group to ensure accurate transfer and availability of inventory.
Maintains accurate records of shipping and receiving documents.
Implements a control system to reduce damages and re-picks.
Assist Warehouse Supervisor in managing the daily Warehouse operation, may be required to perform individual team member work as the operation warrants.
Prepares Bill of Lading and packing slips for shipments.
Enters receipts, returns and transfers in system.
Where necessary, takes corrective action, including recommendation of disciplinary action, training, and safe work practices.
Develop and manage metrics for cycle counting accuracy, transfers and receiving output.
Supports new Warehouse Management System rollout.
Supports new Scanning system rollout.
Supports Order processing process change.
Meet or exceed warehouse goals set by ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time
Meet or exceed receiving goals by ensuring all receipts are entered in a timely manner.
Ensure all safety and quality goals are met for warehouse.
Ensure facility is "audit ready", as required
Timely and accurate completion of inventory transactions and cycle count data
High School Diploma or GED
Some College preferred
PC literate including knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Word.
Good written and verbal communication skills
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
