Position Overview:

The People eXperience Partner (PXP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units within Trimble Transportation Enterprise. The position formulates partnerships across the PX function (including COEs) and the broader business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The PXP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition to ensure their work is aligned in moving the business strategy forward.

Primary Responsibilities:

Partners with respective business units/leaders/employees via weekly/bi-weekly meetings to check in and assess business needs, and to coach/advise on people and organization-related matters.
Nurtures and develops partnerships through PX between management and employees by working closely to build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Consults with line management, providing PX guidance when appropriate.
Analyzes data, trends, metrics in partnership with the PX group to develop solutions, programs and policies to help make informed business decisions.
Exhibits diversity in thought while partnering with the PX team, leaders and employees to assess and build policies, processes, and programs to support the overall PX and people strategy in effort to help deliver on our DEI aspirations in identifying, growing and retaining diverse talent.
Mediates and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, employee career development, performance improvement actions).
Works with managers and the Talent Attraction team to identify the best talent needed in the functions s/he supports, and the most appropriate level and mix of total compensation for the role.
Provides PX policy guidance and interpretation.
Supports and evolves new hire onboarding and internal promotion/transfer process.
Partners closely with Trimble Global mobility team to assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related PX matters.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Collaborate with PX colleagues within Transportation as well as help drive Trimble PX Connect and Scale Initiatives
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:

4+ years experience providing HR support to leaders, employees and teams in a matrixed organization.
Strong business acumen, with experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior business leaders, an analytical approach to problem solving, experience designing and project managing successful people programs, and a track record of innovation.
Possesses strategic thinking and planning/facilitation ability, and flexibility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.
Strong collaboration skills, working both with the global PX team and across the enterprise to effectively move projects ahead
Strong coaching skills to support and advance the leadership and team effectiveness of the client groups s/he supports
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Google For Work, Workday or related PX software.
Preferred Skills:

Experience supporting a matrix based software organization
Proficient with Google For Work, Workday or related PX software.
Advanced Google Sheets/excel reporting skills.
