Shore United Bank is looking for a Loan Review & Workout Officer to join our team! The Loan Review & Workout Officer is responsible for tracking, managing, and restructuring the Bank's problem loan portfolio and for managing the Bank's Loan Review function to assist in the ongoing management of credit risk.
Essential Functions
Analyze the bank's largest and most complex problem loans and determine the most effective method for maximizing financial recovery.
Discuss collection strategies with lending officers.
Negotiate restructuring of credit and repayment terms with customers, attorneys, and representatives of other creditors and lending personnel from other companies to secure appropriate workout arrangements.
Establish and monitor adherence to terms of workout agreements.
Assist the charged-off loan recovery efforts of bank personnel.
Evaluate collateral position to better secure loan and establish recourse to other borrower assets against the possibility of charge off.
Monitor the sale of repossessed items through auction or other means.
Coordinate the timely purchase of SBA guaranteed loans and reimbursement of qualified expenses from SBA.
Calculate and submit required documentation for SBA portion of recoveries.
Attend bank foreclosure sales and assist in the administration of bank-owned property (i.e., obtains insurance coverage, shows property to prospective buyers, lists property with realtor, follows up on maintenance concerns, attends closings, etc.)
Review, grade, and comment on bank loan arrangements, credit authorizations involving lines of credit, commitments, and term arrangements reported by all lending units and credit departments; prepare periodic summary reports.
Assist with reviews of past-due and criticized loan reports, supervisory examination reports, and other sources of information for possible downgrading of deteriorating situations.
Maintain an accurate picture of the overall credit and regulatory risks associated with the loan portfolio; keep the Board of Directors and management informed as to this situation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 4 years' experience in lending and loan review required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of bank products and services
Strong knowledge of bank policies and procedures
Ability to analyze financial statements
Knowledge of current lending and collection laws and regulations
Ability to manage multiple priorities daily
Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
