Job Summary

This CAD engineer helps develop and maintain tools, systems and networks in support of an RF circuit design environment. As an individual contributor, you will be expected to create and manage project databases, maintain all tools and licenses used by the design teams, and provide for the smooth operation of the CAD environment in support of the design community.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:


  • Project Administration - Create projects/branches in a Cliosoft database management environment

  • Tool Maintenance - Install and maintain CAD tools

  • License Management - Monitor license availability, address any shortages, and produce usage reports

  • CAD Environment - Perform regular systems maintenance (e.g. monitoring disk space)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Experience and Skills)


  • Linux Operating System - Experience and knowledge of Linux operating system

  • CAD Systems Knowledge - Basic understanding of hardware systems, server farm implementation, design management software, job scheduling software and grid computing

  • EDA Software tools - Familiarity with design tools, especially Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Keysight, Ansys

  • Experience with scripting and software development (e.g. shell scripts, Perl, Python)

  • Familiarity with change and configuration management systems, issue tracking, and revision control systems

  • U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident required

Education Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2 years of experience in related field, or advanced degree without experience
