Job Highlights

  • Promotes a spirit of cooperation between the Union and Management and demonstrates a commitment to achieve the assigned goals and objectives of the team, department and Site.

Requirements


Minimum - High School Diploma or Equivalent


  • Implementsafe work practices including use of personal protective equipment, housekeeping,permit procedures, etc.

  • Attenddepartmental training and meetings as required.

  • Processes documents, conducts inspections, and maintains records.

  • Demonstrates initiative.Works with a minimum of supervision.Assists and trainother in the department as necessary.

  • Familiar with, and able to implement, incident response procedures.

  • Troubleshoots equipment and /or process problems and implements corrective action.

  • Initiates work notifications, Incident reports asrequired, and follows up on same to completion.

  • Updateproduction records on Database, OEE and exposure toWindows Office Tools and SAP is preferrable

Additional Responsibilities



  • Helps coordinate the activities of the shift within the department.

  • Ensures that instructions/information from the department head and previous shift are accurately and effectively communicated to the team.

  • Assists in troubleshooting, problem solving, decision making andattainment of Site, Departmentand team goals/objectives.

  • Physical activities include:

    • Stair & ladder climbing

    • Wearing respirators, safety equipment, etc.

    • Working from platforms and in confined spaces

    • Manipulating containers including bags, drums, boxes, sacks, etc., of various weights

    • Operating equipment associated with the position
