RTI International's Commercial Health team is dedicated to supporting health care payers, providers and employers on their journey to bringing evidence based and data driven insights to their decision-making process. We solve hard problems with our clients, and we do it with evidence-based practice, scientific rigor and are driven by our institutional level mission to improve the human condition. Our team is a growing team within the institute and we are looking for talent that is passionate about health care, driven by data and motivated by service to clients.

We are looking for a Director of Growth to help continue the progress that we are making in bringing best in class service and product offerings to the markets that we focus on. You will play a key role in developing business with private sector health care providers and payers. Responsibilities will include leading business development, establishing and maintaining key client and partner relationships, and coordinating activity from early opportunity identification through close.

You will have proven experience in business development, specifically in the private health care market with providers and payers. Additionally, you will have experience and expertise in health and health care, along with demonstrated relationships with organizations spanning the spectrum of the provider and payer market segments that can be used to help grow our business. Ideally, you will be motivated, collaborative, disruptive, respectful, and innovative.

Your success in this role will be driven by:

  • Your critical and strategic thinking; able to identify issues and opportunities, provide solutions and reach consensus with multiple stakeholders

  • Identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with private market health care providers and payers in support of our core strategic vision, in coordination with staff from across the institute.

  • Developing partnerships and strategic business alliances with stakeholders and key associate companies.

  • Curating and converting a health business pipeline, filled with high-fidelity opportunities that are well positioned to contribute to short- and long-term growth goals for our team..

Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


  • Develop partnerships and strategic business alliances with stakeholders and key associate companies.

  • Curate and convert a health business pipeline, filled with high-fidelity opportunities that are well positioned to contribute to short- and long-term growth goals for our team.

  • Provide intelligence on market conditions and competitive environment that may disrupt our service offerings and/or creating opportunities for growth.

  • Manage reporting requirements to RTI leadership on pipeline and award progress.

  • Partner with our marketing team to support brand building efforts in support of winning new business, to include conference presentations, strategic marketing activities, and social media.

  • Leverage assets that reside across the institute that can be leveraged in support of new product or service delivery to our market.

  • Support ongoing training of research staff to support business development activities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's level degree and 18 years of related experience, or

  • Master's degree and 14 years of related experience, or

  • PhD and 10 years of experience

  • Demonstrated network of established contacts across the spectrum of market actors and segments in the provider and payer market.

  • Demonstrated successful track record in building relationships with clients; ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of internal and external clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others to incorporate and enhance technical capital outside area of primary expertise.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to interact with a diverse and cross-cultural candidate and client population.

  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and presentation skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Experience working with and using Salesforce as a user.

  • Ability to travel to domestic locations when and as needed.

Preferred:


  • Proven experience in multi-million-dollar health care business development; payer and provider experience is highly preferred.
