Strive to thoroughly understand customer, business and user needs, and provide effective solutions to meet those needs
Dive deep into tech, driving architecture, design, and best practices via hands-on contributions
Build real and effective partnerships between your teams and others throughout the company
Maintain excellent software development processes including Agile best practices
Help define the team's vision, strategy and roadmap
Effectively manage multiple projects and work across a broad range of technologies
Develop on other systems as needed such as Order Management, Merchant Processing, Customer Notification, and Fulfillment systems which are also core to the success of our business
Professional Qualifications (What You Have)
You have 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with deep understanding of architecture and design across many frameworks and languages
You have seen many projects through from end to end and had a senior role in its creation, development and maintenance
You listen, communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and facilitate solutions with actionable plans
You care deeply about customers, architecture, design, technology, process, and quality
You have strong analytical skills and are results-driven
You love developing and growing people and have demonstrated the ability to do so
You believe in the "You build it, you own it" ethos
You know many of these technologies and are eager to learn the rest quickly - Java, Spring, Python, Hibernate, Groovy / Grails, AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, ELB/ALB, S3, etc.), messaging frameworks such as ActiveMQ, event-driven architecture, microservices architecture, Oracle - PL/SQL, Tomcat, REST, high-volume transactional systems, caching strategies, Elasticsearch, CI/CD w/Jenkins, ksh, GitHub, monitoring tools such as New Relic
B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or work experience)
