What you will enjoy doing:

As a Distribution Planner you will oversee all bulk scheduling of liquefied gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide in a geographic region of domestic U.S. In this highly visible team leadership role you'll serve as the main point of contact for all customer operations, coordinate all scheduling and monitor customer product inventory levels daily via systems used at the National Operations Center. You will:

    Uses GOLD to determine forecasted customer demand, schedule deliveries to avoid service interruptions at the lowest costs with the greatest utilization of assets and payloads
  • Identify, develop and drives best practice initiatives inside sales and operations

  • Manage and maintain all local customer data for working patterns, access times and usage rates to ensure an accurate forecast

  • Utilize the PeopleNet system to communicate effectively with assigned driver resources

  • Works with location and NSC management using the systems provided at the NSC, monitors all internal and external levels of service and key performance indicators (KPIs) used in the measurement of customer satisfaction

  • On-call for after-hours coverage support, when business needs demand attention.


Do you have what it takes?

  • A Bachelor's Degree preferably in business, logistics or supply chain management OR 3+ years of transportation dispatch, scheduling/planning experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

  • Prior transportation experience preferred

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Good Analytical Skills

  • Strong Math Skills

  • Strong Customer Service Skills

  • Capable of working efficiently with automated systems
