Position Overview


Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production of electrical connectors and/or installation tools on 2nd Shift.


Duties and Responsibilities


Other duties may be assigned.


  • Leads 10-35 non-supervisory employees.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and advising work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Works closely with Production Control Planners to develop production schedules and to improve utilization of equipment for minimum set-up and maximum operating conditions.

  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

  • Supports merit review program and employee bid process.

  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

  • Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

  • Eliminates waste and develops cost reduction, detailed tooling modifications, planned maintenance, etc.

  • Suggests changes and works closely with both Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering to improve working conditions, productivity, efficiency, quality and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.


Skills and Experience



  • 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ablity to work 2nd Shift.
