Job Description


This role leads all facets of sales forecasting for all sales business units (fresh pack and value added) and maintains the short-term DS demand plan within Logility and support the DP side of Logility. The role also assists the Demand Planning Manager and Senior Director of Customer Sales Operations with the various areas of that role, which supports sales and the internal departments that interact with sales at the discretion of the Demand Planning Manager and Senior Director of Customer Sales Operations.

Required Skills


  • Forecasting consists of short-term DS and long-term DP demand plan within Logility for Value Added and Fresh Pack to drive production planning and procurement purposes relative to sales plans for all sales business units.

  • Assess and analyze all quantitative data points (actual shipments, ordered cases, extra cases, YOY trends, KPI performance) along with obtaining qualitative data (customer profile/narrative, short-term consumer trends, gained/lost items, holiday schedules) by working closely with CSS, VMI, Sales, Operations, and Innovation teams to refine short-term DS demand plan within Logility.

  • New item forecasts for the above mentioned business units would also be a part of this role. The position has a major role in the development of volume and revenue budgets as well as G&A budgets for the business units mentioned above.

  • DS demand plan aligns with expected changes and projections in the long-term DP demand plan.

  • Measure, review and publish WAPE KPI performance. Also, root cause largest variances and develop corrective actions to remedy going forward.

Required Experience

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skill And Experience Requirements)

  • 1-3 years sales forecasting experience and working within a sales, customer service and/or an operational organization.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and decision-making abilities

  • Knowledge and ability to use basic software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, and syndicated data.

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems. Logility experience a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of the commodity markets and how they work.

  • Basic understanding of basics relative to production of products.

  • Understanding of integrated account management and basic qualitative and quantitative consumer needs analysis.

  • Understanding of an account P&L


  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Business Management/Sales or a minimum 1-3 years working experience.

  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or IBF (CPF, ACPF) Certification a plus.


Ability to travel - up to 25% required. (Notification required due to the Americans with Disabilities Act), carry/move up to 40 pounds and ability to sit, stand, crouch
