So what is a "UX Generalist?" You're a double major in the field of UX and have demonstrated a mastery over two or more related UX disciplines. You could be an interaction designer who can do your own user research and can communicate in wireframes. You could be a consummate visual designer who can build a prototype and run a usability study. Basically a jack of all trades and master of a few. If you're a (seasoned) UX professional who's bored with working on "just one thing" and is ready for a real challenge to sink your teeth into, the Broadcom Mainframe UX team could be for you. As a generalist in UX, you'll need the courage to fail fearlessly, be a tireless and diplomatic advocate for our users, and obsess over ways to create the game-changing software of the future. To be successful, you must understand and articulate the needs, aspirations, and expectations of the people who will use what you design, and serve as their advocate throughout the design process. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team to identify personas, interview users, run workshops, create scenarios, build workflows, and design intuitive easy-to-use interfaces. We are looking for the best and brightest, so competition for places is stiff. In return, we ask for a determination to make the most out of every opportunity. It's the ideal environment to challenge you to "think big" giving you the support you need to drive your future career.
