Job Overview



This role will focus on key organizational effectiveness / strategic operations projects for Oliver Wyman Human Capital (OW HC). These projects will focus on both HC effectiveness (to achieve tangible, positive impact on the HC function) and global talent strategy (to improve colleague experience across various areas of HC, e.g., engagement, employee value proposition, recruiting, talent management, benefits). You will also support and/or manage certain internal HC responsibilities, e.g., communications and budgeting.



Key Responsibilities



  • Structure and execute - and, over time, begin to manage - core components of multiple projects annually related to HC's organizational effectiveness and talent strategy


    • Ensure project work results in tangible, measurable positive impact for OW colleagues


    • Develop understanding of practical operating considerations, and deliver projects within these constraints


    • Seek to optimize HC processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency, while still delivering an appropriate level of service to the business




  • Execute and improve certain internal HC processes, e.g., HC's annual strategic planning and budgeting process in partnership with Finance


  • Where appropriate/possible, occasionally manage rotational staff supporting projects, providing guidance and thoughtful development opportunities for those colleagues





Experience Required



  • Bachelor's degree


  • At least 4 years of professional experience, including proven track record of success in a fast-paced, professional services environment


  • Experience delivering complex, analytical projects


  • Ability to solve challenging, multi-disciplinary problems


  • Passion for HR and people strategy/development


  • Occasional travel to other OW offices required

  • For candidates in Europe, willingness to occasionally take scheduled calls in the evening to ensure sufficient overlap with manager's time zone (EST)
