BSA I - Finance Product Technology




As a Business Systems Analyst I, your specific responsibilities include:

  • Function as liaison between IT departments and business to ensure effective delivery of system changes.

  • Coordinate, monitor and support the activities of cross functional groups, the field and others involved in the user acceptance testing phase of the project life-cycle.

  • Perform initial intake of issues found during testing.

  • Develop user acceptance test plans associated with a variety of projects. The plans should include use cases, cross-team coordination requirements, data requirements, scenarios, timing considerations and expected results.

  • Develop and maintain training and support materials used to educate the user community on changes made to business applications and processes.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the training of users throughout the RH and Protiviti organizations.

  • Assigned to small initiatives requiring minimal translation of customer needs into business requirements.

  • Identify and document the data and process flow of existing and proposed business processes.

  • Document business requirements and works with IT to ensure clear understanding.

  • Work with other business systems personnel to clarify and document the business requirements associated with proposed projects.

  • Work with other business systems personnel to identify and document the impacts that various projects will have on existing business applications, policies and procedures.

  • Provide support, including researching and supporting other business systems personnel to resolve production issues in accordance with established service levels.

  • Log, document and track support issues.

  • Provide support for requests to extract data using PS Query.

  • Communicate with Corporate Staffing, RH organizational units, field locations, Field Service Centers and IT as needed to complete assigned tasks.

  • Provide project updates and report status to management and other interested parties that are involved with or may be affected by a given project.

  • Handle follow-up and ensure project plans are updated to reflect current project status.

  • Present summary of data and findings to management, team members and other interested parties.

  • Draft project roll-out related communications to the appropriate audience.

  • Communicate with impacted and interested groups within Corp Services, Protiviti and various field locations.

  • Support teamwork and solicits input from internal and external clients on processes, procedures, technology.


  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or MIS).

  • 2+ years’ experience in a relevant functional area in a BSA or operational business capacity.

  • Good grasp, front to back of a company’s operational flow.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new hardware/software systems independently.

  • Understanding of relational database structure, preferably experience with PeopleSoft or similar database.

  • Experienced in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of customer service.

  • Good organizational, analytical and time management skills.

  • Ability to identify solutions to problems, listen actively, exercise sound judgment and use logic to make decisions.

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, work independently and with others, multi-task, meet deadlines.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
