Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Administrative Support role that will support our Central and South regions. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Provides administrative assistance and support for the claims region of more complexity. Handles incoming calls and mail for the claims department from agents, policyholders, claimants, and providers. Processes various types of support requests for claims department.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties


  • Provide claims processing support to claims region including phone calls and mail.

  • Complete more complex assigned activities timely and accurately. Including but not limited to:

    • Complete and submit State Forms

    • Schedule claimant doctor appointments

    • Process claims payments as instructed

    • Assemble and submit claim documents to various external parties

    • Void/stop payments of checks

    • Respond to vendor status requests




  • Complete more complex special projects as assigned. Including but not limited to:

    • Complete spreadsheet for annual escheating process

    • Complete data related to compliance calls and state audits

    • Assemble documents related to State Dept. of Insurance Requests            

    • Audit monthly and quarterly regional claims center reports to resolve errors and complete data gaps



  • Correspond with agents, policyholders and claimants by telephone and email on assigned tasks to provide claim status and general claim information in accordance with departmental metrics.

  • Perform mail services functions including distribution of mail and packages and prepare items for mailing/shipping for various shipping carriers.

  • Act as subject matter expert for claims administrative support.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 3 years clerical experience.

  • 2 years customer service experience.

  • Experience in commercial insurance preferred

  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.

  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.

  • Demonstrated successful ability to work on several projects concurrently.

  • Demonstrated successful ability to input data with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
