Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI)

Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) teams provide credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and nonprofits. The local delivery model, coupled with the firm's global resources, offers clients customized, comprehensive solutions and personalized service by building long-term relationships.

Job Responsibilities

The primary role of a Region Manager in Middle Market Banking is to focus on Middle Market corporate banking relationships (companies with revenue between $20 and $500 million) in the Mid-Atlantic Region; which includes Maryland, Virginia & Washington D.C..A Region Manager leads Market Executives and Bankers in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships with Middle Market companies. You drive the sales strategy for the region, serve as a player/coach by maintaining a small portfolio of your own, and represent the firm externally in the market. The Region Manager will report directly to the Segment Head. In addition to the above the candidate will possess the following attributes:


  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • Manage, coach, mentor and retain a high performing diverse team

Qualifications


  • Typically a minimum of fifteen years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Bachelor's degree required; Formal credit training preferred
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources: Strong local market presence and knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
  • Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading cross functional teams within a business development environment
  • Strong technology experience; digital background preferred

  • Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Strong creative solution and problem solving abilities
  • FINRA securities licenses 79, 63 and 24 may be required for the role; specifics will be discussed at the time of offer
