The Trading Technology team are looking for the very best and brightest agile technologists across the globe to be part of a multi-year program to revolutionize how the buy-side executes in the market. In short our ambition is to turn trading from an art to a science by building industry leading technology platforms to manage orders, execute trades across the full array of cross asset products and automate the trading lifecycle. As a DevOps Engineer, your role is to promote DevOps and SRE practices, identify toil and observability opportunities, and create self-service or autonomous solutions which modernize to reduce toil and increase monitoring and observability, stability, and resiliency across the Trading platforms

The ideal candidate will:
Have strong communication skills and be able to mentor and educate others on DevOps / SRE principles and practices.
Have people management skills and experience managing complex projects
Be comfortable working directly with traders and quants and collaborate across multiple technology teams
Have the troubleshooting skills to identify and mitigate difficult and complex technical problems and the coding skills to resolve those problems permanently through engineering and automation
Be able to work as part of a global team to achieve project and organizational goals
Be able to create high quality software using Agile/Scrum development practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Exhibit an infrastructure / config / everything as code mindset
Have experience with Incident and Problem management processes, being accountable for resolution, root cause analysis and technology and business reporting and communication
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in a software engineering environment with a focus in DevOps.
Strong observability experience: white & black box monitoring, telemetry collection, and data analysis tools such as Grafana, Geneos, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Kafka, Splunk, etc
Strong CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins
Strong knowledge in at least one programming language such as Python or Java and development tools such as GIT & Bitbucket
Strong server OS scripting and automation experience (Windows or Linux)
Strong knowledge of SQL programming and Oracle Databases
Experience leading a team and managing complex projects
Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, auditing, risk analysis, business resumption planning and contingency planning
Strongly Preferred:
Strong experience with containers and container orchestration: Kubernetes, PKS, Docker
Strong experience with Testing Tools like JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter
Familiarity with best practices for infrastructure design for applications using Microservices, APIs, Big Data, and more
Familiarity with config management tools such as puppet and ansible
Public/Private Cloud Experience i.e. Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS
